Today I made the decision to re-release my old music from up to 10 years ago. I was looking for a song by Fabolous called Real One and I couldn’t find it on Spotify or the Youtube Music app. As I don’t use the traditional Youtube app on my phone (I find it too distracting), I decided to download Soundcloud and was very happy to find the track on there to listen to. I also came across a similar challenge when I wanted to hear one of Lil Simz old tracks and Chipmunk’s What Ever The Weather mixtape.
These experiences got me thinking about my old music and how I had hidden it. I had done so for multiple reasons, mainly because I only wanted to share what I felt was my best work. However, music is subjective and it is not necessarily the track that is better technically, that has the most impact on someone. Therefore, I decided to re-release my old songs.
This includes music that spans 3 artist names (Flash Gordon, Elijah Benoit and Christopha Gordon) and 4 projects (Spaceship to the Unknown, #Project727, The Graduate EP and the 24 Hour Mixtape).
I hope you enjoy it. You can listen to the songs here
